6th Annual Juried Art Salon a resounding
success!
Kingston Arts Council's 6th Annual Juried Art Salon
was a resounding success!
90 artists entered in the 6th Annual Art Salon with
just over 200 pieces of art. Artists from a greater
Kingston area including Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal
submitted digital or slide images for the first selection
of a 2-stage adjudication process.

The Arts Salon was pleased
to have two national and internationally renowned
artists, Sylvat Aziz and
Shayne Dark, to adjudicate this year. Paintings,
photography, sculpture, ceramic, fabric art, and
sculpture made up some of the mediums submitted.
Thus this latest Annual Salon and Sale shows, as
it should, an eclectic selection of works from just
about every visual arts and crafts discipline. The
final selection of the Juried Art Salon includes
67 pieces from all mediums mounted in two exhibition
spaces. Both the Wilson Room at the Kingston Public
Library and the Kingston Arts Council Gallery (upstairs
in the Wellington St. Theatre) are housing this truly
unique survey of excellence in the arts until May
30th.
The 6th Annual Juried
Arts Salon is open to the public now until May 30th,
2007.
The Library is open-
Monday through Thursday from
