Call for performing artists
The Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (OCFF) Is Now Accepting Applications for Conference Showcase Performances
A showcase performance at the OCFF Conference is an important opportunity for artists to get their music heard by festival artistic directors, concert presenters, record labels, and artist managers from across Canada and around the world. It's a rare chance to connect with influential music industry members all in one place, and each year OCFF showcases directly result in major leaps forward in the careers of independent musicians.
Folk, roots, traditional, world, blues, Francophone, Aboriginal, culturally diverse and other artists from different genres of music are encouraged to apply. Applications are welcome from artists based anywhere in the world.
The deadline for applications to Showcase at the OCFF Conference is May 9, 2008. The Showcase application is available online at: www.ocff.ca/awardsshowcasing.htm or through Sonicbids at www.sonicbids.com.
The 22nd annual OCFF Conference will be held October 23-26, 2008 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The OCFF Conference showcases are where music industry members gather to hear some inspiring, innovative, and downright fun music, discover new artists, and build both friendships and beneficial business relationships.
