Call For Film Submissions, Danse Macabre Halloween Horrorfest 2008

Halloween Weekend 2008 will mark the second instalment of the Danse Macabre International Horror Film Festival (And All Hallow's Eve Ball) in Kingston, Ontario.

Danse Macabre is a showcase of original, independent and award-winning short horror films from a diverse assortment of nations. Our 2007 Program featured 48 films from 17 countries, and interest was phenomenal. We are pleased to announce a call for film submissions for the 2008 festival.

We anticipate excellent coverage of this landmark event by Canadian and International media, and look forward to your assistance in sending out this immediate call to filmmakers to ensure they are provided with an opportunity to have their films screened at DANSE MACABRE 2008. Our submission criteria is as follows:

Danse Macabre is open to any film that might be considered a horror film, of a disturbing nature, weird and/or frightening.

Runtimes for the Short Film Program should be under 22 minutes, though feature-length films may be considered for programming.

There is NO 'Film Made By' date. We plan on celebrating all horror films from all eras. Send us your early stuff!

Films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English.

Films should be from one of these genres:

- Horror, Supernatural
- Sci-Fi, Fantasy
- Animation
- Action, Thriller, Suspense
- Cult, Bizarre, Genre-defying, Experimental
- Documentary or music video (with a genre connection)
