The Kingston Arts Council presents a unified voice for the arts in the Kingston Community. We are a means of providing recognition and support for the arts, artists, and arts organizations in our area. Membership is available to anyone or any group active in, or interested in any aspect of the creative arts. The Kingston Arts Council is a registered non-profit organization. This site will be increasingly used to market arts interests publicly. Your input is welcome.

Kingston's newest exhibition space at 189 Sydenham St. is showing Michele LaRose during the month of March.

If you missed Michèle LaRose¹s exhibitions in January of this year, you have an opportunity to see another selection of her recent work in the Kingston¹s Arts Council exhibition space, The Upstairs Gallery at 189 Sydenham Street, between Princess and Queen.

LaRose exploits colour to it fullest in her works. LaRose is an artist who is always seeking to expand her range. She is curious about the considerable effects colour has on people and her abstract work explores these impacts without providing clues to the interpretation of the work. Her paintings allow many interpretations. She feels that the more she can spark the creative imagination of viewers, the more successful she is as an artist.

All are invited to view Michèle LaRose's recent paintings
during March 2005 upstairs at The Upstairs Gallery 189 Sydenham St.,
Monday to Friday between 10am-3pm.
